The Scrum Tilly Lush

Irish skateboarder and cinematographer (amongst other things), and all around proper guy Philip Evans recently released his latest video creation The Scrum Tilly Lush. But this is not your average video. NAY! In Philips own words, "The whole motivation behind it was to make something original that may be refreshing to the generic few skate vid formulas peddled so often. I wanted it to look different & look good, be re-watchable, to sound like a mix tape and to be apprecited by those who don't just look for premiere hammer cheers! The concept behind it is that 11 of Europes prime scenes were to be shown in a realistic fashion from the perspective of a local pro. Oh yeah, it was shot completely on Super 8."

In my humble opinion, hammers are exciting once in a while, but a good dialogue, spots, and smooth skating is far more memorable (think Future Primitive). Even if you don't skate I highly recommend this film for a slice of that distinctive European inspiration.

The video stars:
Love Eneroth in Stockholm, Conhuir Lynn & Denis Lynn in Belfast, Wieger in Amsterdam, Lennie Burmiester in Berlin, Daniel Lebron & Vinnie Bressol in Barcelona, Nick Jensen in London, Soy Panday & Vivien Feil in Paris, Al Collins, Wayne Gallagher in Dublin, Janne Saario in Helsinki, Per Magnusson in Malmo & Wainwright in Bristol.

Congrats Philip!
